The skin is so complete, so perfectly balanced, it is just astounding to use in game. The vest on this one is one of the most detailed I have ever seen. Wrinkles, buttons, latches, straps, everything is there. This skin also does something few others do, which is add something significant to what is normally the dull empty back of the vest. The camouflage is just as amazing, rarely have I seen such true to life colors and textures. Something I also liked was the player's face. One thing that always bugged me with darkelfa's skins were the eyes, with their almost unhuman silver eyes and bloodshot veins. The glasses have also been made invisible, which depending on the person is good or bad, but for me it is an improvement. There is also a matching defuser skin for this reskin. Based off of his urban CT line, this reskin uses the same pattern, but with woodland coloring. The skin has little variation in pattern, everything is mostly the same camouflage pattern. The pattern works so well though that even with the player saturated in it it blends in and doesn't look overdone. As always, DarkElfa has provided a reskin for the defusers as well as all new normal maps to give this skin that extra edge. For those of you who liked the pattern on the urban skins, but dislike the bizarre color combination, this is a definite must. Although I am not familiar with these camo patterns, they are still excellent, good work from Staknhalo. Both the woodland and the desert reskins fit right into the battlefields of Counter-Strike Source. All of the gear of the counter-terrorist has been redone and looks wonderful just like you would expect from DarkElfa. The gloves with the flag are a little too much for me, they kinda distrupt the look of the skins for me, but it is no biggie. I am not sure how he did it, but DarkElfa got ride of the glasses on the CT, and I would have to say it looks alot better without them. As mentioned in the other releases, yes the camo is a bit funky, and no we don't care because it looks brilliant to anyone who's not anal about realism. This particular version brings a slightly darker feel to the CT, and also features subtle reflective armour, like on the Armored Tactical CT, however toned down and given more texture. DarkElfa and Sixtoes' Desert CT 3.0

Some minor changes have been made on this version, including a slightly different camo pattern with slightly darker colors, non-existant goggles, and various minor changes to gear. Biggest change for me was the vest, which sports a new woodland camouflage and new pouches. The back of the vest now has straps from what looks like a ALICE kit, not sure though. This new skin looks a little more lifelike, but v2.0 had better contrast with the camouflage and a brighter color palette. Make up your own mind on this one, both are excellent, and the few distinctions between the two make for a more diverse choice in desert-themed skins. Review: Milkman Submission: DarkElfa
