For those who like to accessorize your weapons, here is the answer to your prayers for the UMP. The model is outlaw's UMP, which is the one and only custom UMP compiled sofar. Luckily it is of good quality. There are various accessories added on, and they all seem to be of similar quality. The skins are just fine, but the normal map for the UMP is just bizarre. In some situations the map makes the gun look as if it is rough and un finished, almost as if it was a chopped piece of wood. The animations are defaul, still noone has put the effort forth to make custom animations for the UMP, such a poor and abused gun it is. A defininte plus to this compile are the world models and custom firing sound, they finish off the package.

I'm not really a fan of older weapons in CS but I was pleasantly suprised by this M76. Sure, it's by no means pretty, but I've developed a strange admiration for it's simplicity. To add to that the in-game UMP's slow and unusual rate of fire just helps makes this weapon feel more at home. Anyway, onto the things that matter. The model itself has no complaints from me, and comes with both a scoped and ironsight variety, same goes for the skin, only downpoint is it's lack of refs or normals. The most unique feature about the gun though is Mullet's animations. I was never that fond of his earlier attempts, but these feel very well done, as simple as they are. Give it a try if you're sick of all those MP5's.

Finally, somthing other than a reskin for the UMP. This replacement definitely tries to stay close to it's real life counterpart by being very sleek and very dark. So dark infact, that sometimes it's actually quite hard to see much of the detail in the skin, but despite this the detail is still there. This weapon also includes world models, reflect maps and normal maps, making it stand out amongst the rest of our UMP skins. All in all this is definitely worth your time whether you're an avid UMP fan, or just someone who wants a realistic looking, true-to-life replacement.

This is a fitting replacement. The MP5K is small, light, and a little bit more crude than its bigger brother. This also gives the UMP section a little bit more variety to the section, and more variety is a good thing right? So moving on to the critique: The model is a hacked-down version of Short_Fuse's MP5A4 with the proper accessories added. I don't like it cut down as much though, looks very bare like it is missing something, perhaps a collapsible stock would help. The skin fine, but the reflect maps add a little bit more to the gun, although they seem to be a little bit overeactive to light. The animations are still valve, with a little edit to work with the magazine. No new sounds, but this does have world models. The MP5K is fitting for this release, but if you like outlaw's UMP you minus well stick with it, but if you looking for a MP5 varient this is a good option.

The model is small and distant from the player, nowhere near as in your face as the MP5 RAS replacement for the MP5. The model doesn't have as much detail as the MP5 version, which apparently isn't related although it is comparable. The skin is mediocre as well, or atleast the back of it, the part you see most is. The rail system and area infront of the magazine look good. Animations are apparently custom, but I didn't see much of a difference over the default. The firing sound, is terrible, either delete it (cstrike/sounds/weapons/ump45) or find a better one from another release. Overall it a pretty mediocre release, could have been better, but it is a viable alternative to the UMP.

This UMP uses the default VALVe model, with a largely silver and grey reskin. Although it doesn't sound like much this replacement is actually pretty good, the metal is shiny and makes use of Source engine features thanks to the reflect maps, and also contains some custom bumpmaps to give it a more realistic feel. The bumpmaps make the skin look scratched and worn, and is nicely done. Unfortunately there is no World models, but considering nobody really uses the UMP, I'm doubtfull you'll see it lying around anyway. Overall a worthy replacement.

A simple yet effective skin combined with bug free more centered origin model. A good, simple, replacement.
