The M16 fits in well enough with it's burst fire, and is pleasing to use. Those of you with a keen eye may notice this model features the 20 round magazine instead of 30, making it even more suitable for the role of FAMAS replacement. Anyway, down to the details. The model gets no complaints from me, it's well detailed and proportioned as you would expect, definitely one of the better M16 models out there. The texture by Polygon is also very good, some of you might not like the whole blue-ish tint, but personally it doesn't bother me at all. Overall, best M16 replacement for FAMAS yet. The model seems a little low-poly, and although the skin is very simple and to the point, it's not exactly this releases best asset. However the main point of this release is the animations by Hav0c - although they are visually not that different from Jen's, they give the weapon a very refreshing feel, and a more centered appearance. This means it has both auto and burst fire, but only 25 rounds in the magazine. The reason i didn't use this skin for the AUG was the way the player held it. This is fixed in the FAMAS version! Other than this, there's only one problem - When I think of the M16, I'm thinking high-powered, high-accuracy rifle, but for me, the FAMAS is a low-powered weapon. So when I use this skin, I'm getting the same feeling I would get if I fired 9mm bullets from a 50.cal rifle, but that's no big problem. The model itself is great. It has lots of details, reflect mappings, w-models and sound. The sound's not correctly synched to the anims, but it's not so bad once you get used it. Review & Submission by Splinter

Credits: Model/Skin/Anims/Compile: Funth	Official Score » 8.4 Member's Score » 8.8 Downloads » 5837 Member's Fav's » 0 Overall Rating: 85.5% It takes alot of dedication and hard work to create just a model, but to also uvmap, skin, animate and compile a gun is almost unheard of, but thats what we have here. Compared to the other QBZ in the section, the model looks better, and the skin, while inaccurate to the real gun, looks better than if it was skinned to be realistic. There is really nothing exciting about the real QBZ's synthetic body, so the inaccuracy in this skin is forgivable. The animations are interesting, and by that the reload animation is pretty intertaining. When reloading, the character takes out the magazine and throws it into the air and then grabs a new one. Odd yes but nothing buggy about it. The one bug is with the origins in combination with the animations. When the gun is drawn the "end" of the arms (by this, I mean where there are no polygons) is exposed. That is something that needs fixing. Custon sounds are not present, I really can't think of a reliable source for a firing sound for this gun other than Battlefield 2, but apparently using sounds from other games in compiles is against the end user agreement. So, with that out of the way, this compile is good but needs a few tweaks here and there. I am not much of a Famas user so what I use as a replacement is not something I am concerned about, but for those who do use it, you minus well try this compile out and see if it is to your liking. The modeling on the gun is excellent. The grip is wider than it is on the default, and the overall model sits a little further back. A pretty good replacement overall!

Some say the wrist looks broken, others say it's merely uncomfortable, but either way it shouldn't matter, because the new anims are enough to take your eyes off any faults. Definitely worth your time if you still use or like the default, but fancy somthing new without too many radical changes. Review & Submission by Elanzer

It hasn't got any reflect mappings, world models, or custom sounds, but it has got custom animations by Jennifer!!. The bad points about this skin is that the model is relatively low-poly, and the skin isn't too amazing either, also the wrists look very broken and odd due to Jens anims. The model is plain and simple and also immense, taking up almost half of the side of the screen. The skin is very simple, I am not really sure that there would be much more to detail but its just incredibly plain. Jennifer's animations work well on this skin, and the strained wrist does not stick out as much in this release. No custom sounds and no world models. In conclusion, this release works, but is lacking features that would make it more than ordinary. Note: Follow the Readme closely to properly install the two model varients for this release.
