Its not very often that we get to review a grenade replacement, and even then its hard to find a high quality grenade. This pack may be what I have been looking for. The models are simple and clean. The skins denote what version of grenade they are (smoke, HE, flash) and not much else. The animations are nice, but I have two issues with them: 1) When the pin is pulled, there is a delay between the pin being pulled and the sound of the pin being pulled. 2) The origins/animations hide alot of the grenade, but this is a minor issue, since the only thing being hidden is the rest of the grenade, which consists of a cylinder. Something that all grenades need are world models, and this grenade pack has those so I am quite satisfied with it. The only thing still bugging me is that sound issue.

We don't get many Grenade replacements, but finally we have one more to add to the archives here as CSDL. This release is a M61 Fragmentation grenade, standard US issue. The model is accurate but relatively simple. The skins all have pros and cons to them so I suggest you try each one of them out to find which one suits your liking. What bothers me about this release is the fact that it feels like it came directly from CS 1.6, nothing has been added to bring it to the age of DirectX 9.0, no normal or reflect maps and no real visual improvements over its predecessor.
Note: Follow the Readme closely to properly install the skins for this release.

T-R-O-N has recompiled these favorites from CS 1.6 for source. Not much has changed other than a nice reflection map on the color bands (shown in picture). World models are included and show up properly on players and surroundings. There is one flaw in this grenade pack, all of the textures are mirrored, so us who use right hand models will see the text backwards. That one flaw is really what hurts this release.
