I have reviewed three LR-300's today and I would have to say that this is my favorite of them all. The quality of the model and skin are a given, I already mentioned those in the other reviews. But what sets this apart are the animations. The double mag animations have made an appearence a few times, but to me they seem to fit this gun the best. Unlike the other scoped version, the hand is holding the heatshield/grip correctly. The reload is exciting and unique. The only dissapointment for me was the lack of world models, but they are not possible anyways due to the bullpup configuration that the AUG has. Someone would have to edit the world model reload animations to make world models for this gun practical. Not everyone will share my enthusiasm with this skin, I can't please everyone with my reviews, but hopefully my explanation will convice you to give this gun a try.

Here's another M4 for AUG replacement. This time we have the widely-loved and versatile Ank/CJ M4 in a SOPMOD layout, simply put this involves an RIS system, vertical grip, and ACOG scope. There's not much to say about the actual M4 itself other than it includes normals, refs, and world models. If you want to read more about it there is plenty of other reviews around the site. If you want an M4 replacement for AUG this may just be what you're looking for.

A quality, chunky replacement for the AUG. This gun is my favourite for real life and now it's accurately modeled into my favourite game, what else could I ask for? It includes new sounds, custom animations, and a world model.
My only problem with this model is perhaps that the skin has no reflect or normal maps, and it is quite a large model on-screen, however the detailed scope reflection and general powerful feeling of this model makes it stand out from the rest.
Update 12/05/05 - This release has now been updated with Ghost Ops animations which are far superior to the previous version's, and make the weapon much more satisfying and interesting to use. Definitely worth the upgrade if you already use it, and if you don't I highly advise you do.

This is a hack of Ankalar's excellent m4, now with Heckler & Koch parts. Everyone is familiar with Ank's M4, its been used so much so lets skip to the additions made. The model now has a rail with HK rear and front sites. The magazine has a mag clamp and a second magazine attached to it for quick reloads. The skin is CJ's excellent skin with a few modifications. The animations are great, the reload is very interesting to say the least. I still wonder why this must be an AUG replacement, I know that Havoc's animations are for AUG, but why make a M4 without a scope for a weapon that requires one? Nevertheless, its a great replacement.

This is the same QBZ thats in the Famas section. The only differences being that the animations don't have any bugs and only a scoped version is availible. For more info on this gun read my review of the Famas compile.

This is the AUG version of the G36 for SG552. There's always been a demand for G36's, but never any decent ones to deliver. That stops now. Darkstorn and Twinke have as always has worked their modelling magic and produced this G36, which in terms of proportions, appearance, and general feel are all dead on. There are 2 skins included - one by Darkstorn, the other by Sproily. To me Darkstorn's seems a little too light, and in places a tad blurry, as for Sproily's it could have a little more detail and the ref maps could of been improved, but it's not to say either are bad just that I feel they could be better for such a model. Another note on the skins is they lacked reflective scopes, which bugged me as a bit of variation of colour and texture would of gone a long way. The animations by Hav0c get no complaints from me, this release comes with 3 sets - one from the SL8 released a while ago, a new G36 set similar to the SL8 but with a folding stock draw, and a 3rd which is the G36 animations just mentioned but with some more friendly origins that don't look like you're holding the gun in your crotch. Out of these 3 I would recommend the 3rd, which lucky for those of you who don't read the readme on how to change versions, are default.
Note: Follow the Readme closely to properly install the different animation and skin variants for this release.

I feel like I'm repeating myself, but finally - A custom AUG. I've been waiting for this.
Simply put, if you like the AUG you should be using this. While it does have a few negative points it's still entirely worth the download, and will satisfy those of you who wanted the bullpup design but couldn't find any decent models. The negative points though do bother me slightly, these mainly consist of the skin being a bit poor in the way that it seems a little dull and boring, and the model seeming a little too fat in some places. The skin at least does have 3 variations, (Pictured left) tan, green, and blue. It's hard to see much difference at all, and they are basically just tints, but still they add a small form of customisability. The best point of this release though is Hav0c's AUG sling animations, which are realistic and have no complaints from me other than the origins being a little strange, therefore making the gun face a little too inwards and downwards. Overall though if you want an actual AUG and some decent animations, use this. Also includes world models and ref maps.
Note: See readme for instructions on how to install the different colours.

This is the compact version of Darkstorn & Twinke's G36 rifle that's seen in the Aug and SG552 section. For all purposes, it does it's job well, the animations by Hav0c work nicely and the scope features reflects to keep you DirectX9 users happy. As mentioned in the review of the original, the model is great, and the skin is reasonably good, but nothing special in terms of quality. For more info on the finer points, see the original reviews in the Aug and Sg552 sections.

This is the slightly shorter 'K' variant of the G36 rifle, much like the even smaller G36C it consists of a shortened barrel, top rail, and in this case, holosight. While not much different from the other two G36's we have already, I felt it needed a place to complete the set (Though there's always room for an MG36...), and the holosight may please some of you who wanted a more tactical feel than a plain scope could offer. As far as the actual model and skin are concerned, I've already commented on them in the other G36 reviews - Model is great, skin is reasonable, animations are good. As always if you want more information check the other reviews.

I have mixed feeling about this gun, the concept seems cool, but a few flaws keep this gun from receiving a better score. On a good note, the gun is an interesting twist to your run-of-the-mill m4, something truly unique. The suppressed firing sound is well done too. This gun has some flaws too though, the most obvious flaw is the positioning of the gun in world view. The player's trigger hand clips through the magazine. But what bothers me the most is the reflex site, it is very blocky, should be smoothed or replaced with something more high poly, this is CS Source after all.
