The Ghost Ops Team has really outdone themselves with this release. The model is supurb; the RIS rail beefs up the gun considerably and the rest of the model is just great. The skin is the low point, while not bad, its not amazing either. The animations are great too, the draw and the reload animations show off the high points of the model. To summarize, this MP5 is different, not only is the model a new one, it includes a RIS system which makes it the MP5 much more powerful. Schmung's retractable stock MP5 + Hav0c's anims

This version though is significantly better and features some decent animations by Hav0c. The model is pretty good as far as MP5's go, with retractable stocks being a rarity this is somthing pretty special. As for the skin it has has 2 versions, default pictured top left, secondary being the bottom two. Although there's no great difference between them it's nice to have some parts modifiable. The main reason this release shines though is the animations, there's a distinct lack of MP5 anims considering how often it's used in-game, and the only other version apart from these are Jen's which always felt a little low down, so this set fills the role quite well. Definitely one of the better MP5's, give it a try even if only for the stock and animations. Edit: Download fixed Note: See readme for instructions on how to install the different colours. This is the cream of the crop for all that I am concerned. The base for this gun is Short_Fuse's wonderful MP5 model. The skin is incredibly detailed and the animations are class. Little additions like the beefier foregrip and the tape on the magazine and stock improve the overall look of the weapon. The only visual issue I have is the aimpoint, which looks a little blocky; perhaps some turbosmoothing would have made it a little nicer. The world model looks a little big, but was not a real issue with me. Also to add, the custom sounds gave this gun a distinct feel, and really make it stand out in a firefight. The base MP5 has already been seen before in other releases, so you know what to expect there. As for the EOD portion, I say that it really adds to the gun. The timid little MP5 now has the dominating looks of a rifle carbine and for the most part just looks badass. This varient reminds me alot of what the Marines carried in Half-Life 1, except this gun is about ten-times the quality. The animations have been motified to fit the accessories. Recoil is much less noticible, a explanation for this would be because the M203 and new barrel assembly would weight down such a small gun like the MP5. The custom sounds are good, the firing sound sound powerful and the reload sounds great. World models are included to finish off this package. Review & Submission by Milkman

The negative side of this weapon is that it's held fairly low, so not a lot of it can be seen on-screen, also the sight just looks sort of 'stuck on'. The model is still good and the skin is still too dark with overdone normal maps. A nice touch is the option between a straight mag and a curved mag. The gun seems a little smaller in this compile, but I am told that has been done to fit the MP5 animations better, which by the way are default. In conclusion its a nice replacement if you like UMPs or if you want a UMP in your inventory and your UMP replacement is another type of gun. This one is a fresh sight with all the Short_Fuse MP5 conversions around, not to say they are bad, but something different and of similar quality is nice to get every once in awhile. Running down the gun; it has World models, Reflect maps, custom sounds, and a flashlight mounted on the front. Only drawback is the sounds are a tad on the weak side, but you can always get rid of them if you don't like them. Although there is many variations of this model and skin, this is the best. It looks modern, and has a more realistic feel to it. It is well-detailed, uses bumpmaps, and also comes with a very nice world model. A worthy addition to everyone's collection.

Consequently the model changes make it look very, very, similar to Short_Fuse's MP5, which I'm sorry to say is just plain better, as apart from the not-so-blocky stock also features bumpmaps and an overall better skin.
