I have no complaints on this replacement at all, it's just another great and much-needed model from Twinke. The 7 skins this replacement features (Yes, 7) are all high quality also, and cater for everyones tastes. Images of the varieties can be seen in the file once downloaded, but to briefly summarise there is black, grey, 4 different camos, and a 'redneck edition' (Don't ask), as always see the readme for info on how to change if you don't like the default black. Also featured are Hav0c's new animations, while they aren't bad they are quite similar to the Ghost Ops AWP animations which I personally find preferable, but everyone else seems to of given these a good reception so chances are you'll like them. Other than that there's not any other gripes other than I think the scope is a little too big and close to the viewpoint, but again that's a personal preference as some people may enjoy having it shoved in their face. Also features a new firing sound. Note: See readme for instructions on how to install the different colours. This is one for those of you who like your Scouts dark and futuristic looking, this SL8 is definitely a winner. Absolutely no complaints with the model, and no problems with the skin either other than being a tad bit on the dark side. The animations by Hav0c get my approval too, nothing too extravagant, just simple, effective, and to the point. Overall a very, very nice scout. Review & Submission by Elanzer

This new compile sports an excellent scope; the scope on the older one was my main complaint. The skin has been edited as well, but its not as noticible as the new origins. I like these new origins, I always felt the defaults were held too far off to the side, and inwards instead of forwards. This scout replacement also has world models, so its a complete package, and in my opinion the best scout replacement out sofar. Review & Submission by Milkman

This is a rifle, despite having a pump action and the look of a shotgun. Despite the shotgun look, it is a scout replacement. The model is plain and smooth, just like you would expect from a shotty, with the addition of a decent scope and magazine. The skin is for the most part black, with the appropriate nicks and scratches. The animations are new, due to the pump action reload. Kudos to Mullet for the excellent job on the animations. The sounds are great, I especially like the pump and firing sounds. Although a pretty unique and abnormal scout replacement, I enjoy using it as it is something more than just another bolt action hunting rifle. Also comes with world models. The model is still a little blocky though, although the Scout section really lacks new, hires models, so its not as big of a deal as it would be if it was a blocky AK or M4 model. Even though, the model doesn't really compare of the SL8 or new C3A1. The skin is pretty plain as well, although the reflect maps improve it a bit. Although the reflect maps are nice to have they seem to be a bit too strong and give off too much of a glossy effect. I personally like the M24 more as a scout replacement than the "Ultimate" Scout, although their quality it too similar to judge one over the other. It doesn't help having no world models for this either. I will stick with the C3A1 redux for now, but if your a fan of the M24 or don't like wood stocks, then give this gun a shot. Other than low poly optic on the scope, the model is in proper working order. The wood reskin looks great, and fits the gun better than the synthetic version released awhile back. I used this little guy back in the 1.6 days, and now that its compiled for source I use it there too. The custom sound that comes with it gives the scout a beefier bang than that almost silent pfff noise it used to make. The layout of the scope is more conventional than that of the standard scout. Although it isn't a very high detailed model, or have some of the nice eye candy that other models offer, its definitly the king of the scout family until something newer comes along.
