There's not one thing about this skin that is below excellent, it's just perfect. The textures by NCFurious are as you would expect, well detailed yet still very smooth and natural, making the wood especially look great. Animations by Jen (Version 3) top off the package, along with some basic reflect maps, world models, and a total of four interchangeable texture variations (Light wood, dark wood, black mag, wood mag - See readme for more info). The only difference is that it has been compiled for the AK47. So as a refresher, here is Elanzer's original review of the Sako: A relatively unheard of weapon amongst most, the Sako is a Finnish rifle roughly based off the well known AK47, and as such is like a cousin to the Galil, making it a suitable replacement. It does it's job very well in all aspects, the model is great, skin is great, and it features some pretty good ref maps. World models are also included for those of you who demand them. It also uses Hav0c's AK anims which although I'm not usually very fond of, seem much more suitable on this model and get the seal approval as far I'm concerned. Review: Elanzer Submission: Milkman

This AK-101 is nice and high-poly, and the skin smooth and well detailed. It also comes in 2 variants - synthetic black and wood, bound to satisy you all. Jen's CZ animations also feature, which as always are as loved as ever, many of you will probably prefer them over Jen's other set. Also included are normal/ref maps and world models by Mullet. Overall one of the best AK replacements to date. Now updated with new world models, sounds, and refs/normals. Note: Comes in both brown and synthetic black varieties. The only difference I noticed was a firing sound, so here is the review if you missed the first one: Darkstorn's AK has been used a couple times now as a galil replacement and as great as it is, it still can't beat this new AKSU. This new AKS74U model is amazing, few models can compare to the detail and quality that is present here. Everything is detailed, from the foregrip to the bolt assembly. The skin is very well done as well. The reciever looks particularly nice. Some normal maps for the metal look great as well. This gun has jennifer's latest AK animations. They are nice, but the reload seems to be a little robotic, as in the stages of the reload are not fluid. There are sound for the reload, but no firing sound, so you will have to shop around for a worthwile firing sound. World models are included. I could spend awhile destribing the quality of this rifle but not only would it take awhile to do so but would not truely describe the excellence of this replacement. This is a case where a picture can be worth a thousand words. You really have to try this replacement just to understand the quality involved in it making it. Reivew: Milkman Submission: DarkElfa

This AK features Jennifers!! animations with the brilliant Darkstorn's AK with original Darkstorn skin, also worth mentioning this model is correctly mirrored. It also has very detailed world models included. This skin features reflect maps and some very heavy normal mapping that makes the wood look very realistic, however it does go a bit over the top, the wood looks very scratched and I wouldn't be suprised if it's riddled with woodworm. The only difference with this release being Jen's CZ anims, which are different. These animations are in my opinion, so much better, and it's a shame this is the only model I've seen for Source that uses them. For those of you who havn't read a review on the actual skin yet, the dark wood features some detailed and heavy normal mapping, utilising the Source engine to it's fullest. All in all, an excellent model + excellent skin + excellent animations = A beast of an AK. Note, as with all other Darkstorn AK models, Splinter's and Darkstorn's skin can be used. Not much variety until now. This gun is a beast of an assault rifle. It fits the AK role perfectly. The model is great, but the grip is kind of small. Although the G3A3 has a farly small grip, this custom is just as small. A version of this release with a modernized SG1 heatshield/foregrip would be perfect. The skin is alright, but a little bright. The ref pictures I have looked at show the gun to be a little darker with olive-green stock and grips. The animations are from the firearms mod. They are realitivly simple, the reload is nothrills because of the contraining time period. The sounds are fantastic though, the magazine in/out are new to my ears and well done. The other sounds are nice and not rehashes many have heard in dozens of compiles. World models are included. Review & Submission by Milkman

This version features Jennifers!! animations and a model with the bolt on the correct side in both player and world model views. It also has very detailed world models included. Primary concern about this gun are the wood textures, they are a little off for my tastes, but anyone who wants to personalize theirs can edit them if they wish. We've seen a few vartions to this gun, but this one is one of my favorites. The model, of course, is made by Twinke Masta. Although this time around we have a RIS added, which was modeled by the Ghost Ops Team. I can honestly say that it looks very nice combined with the AK, it's a change from what we've seen before in this section. The base dosen't need anything said about it however, since we've seen it as part of Twinkie's Maddi AK. The skins on the gun fit very well, and as before, the base's skin was made by NCFurious and so as a result is very good as you'd expect. The RIS skin, made by the Ghost Ops Team, looks nice as well. I also like the new sounds that come with the gun. Now for the gun's flaws. The animations, made by Hav0c, seem a bit "off" to me. I can't put my finger on it, but they seem somewhat jerky. However, that's all a matter of opinion as I'm sure alot of you will love them. Also, the gun lacks World models. So, those looking for a variation of a great AK, or those of you who just want a new AK, give it a shot. Review & submission by BatmanIV

You may also of noticed that this this model uses some new animations by Hav0c, and although they are in at first glance better than Jen's, they have their low points, and unfortunately those low points happen to be the only faults in this release. The firing animations don't have quite as much recoil as they should for a beefy weapon like an AK, and when using single shots it is very obvious that there is a large delay between firing, and the recoil setting in. But I'm just nitpicking now, so I'll finish by saying that despite these little gripes it is still a very good and wholly satisfying release. Review & Submission by Elanzer
