The old Colt 45 is no stranger to the desert eagle category, but this is no ordinary 45. This gun is a "modernized" m1911A1, with new sights, a "match" barrel, and a few other improvements. The model is what you would expect of something representing a colt and the custom parts are done well. The skin is fine, but the grip is undetailed and alot of the gun parts are mismatched, that might just be how the kit is, but I like color consistancy in the skins I use. The reflect and normal maps worked well on the gun. Quad's desert eagle animations are wonderful by themselves, but they help show off alot of the gun's custom parts during reload and draw that would otherwise be hidden by the hands. Sounds are great as well, and to top it off there are world models. This release is perfect for anyone who likes the Colt .45, but wants a more modern, tactical feel to it.

well first off i havent used this ingame yet but i assuming the comps used to take screenies here at CSDL are of the highest quality so here goes: well i must say the skin looks very bland not a very good metal texture (it looks kinda "dirty low quality metal" but again im only judging from the screenshot) especially bland around the grip and ring hammer but the skin does seem detailed enough nice job on remebering the front and back cocking/slide grooves and engraved text but the thing that bug's me most is tondef's model it really looks horrible (BEFORE ANYONE STARTS FLAMING ME REMBER THAT REVIEWS ARE BASED ON PERSONAL OPINION) the match barrel looks slightly offsided and really to me it just..looks weak i think a better way of doing this is hacking steel's 1911 model and hacking the tactical modifications on to it ...as for the rest of the package great anims by QUAD i loved them on steel's 1911 and i still do and great job once again with sounds vunsunta

Skin was actually like 2-3 months old by the time it got compiled so it isnt spot on for me. The detail is actually high and personally i feel i did a good job for what is my third skin, G/L finding someone else that would have done such a good job. The mag is the best bit imo. alongside the anims.
SERT: in retrospect i dont like the model either, i hate the shape of the compensator and the way it masks the clssics 1911 looks. Also in future try using the model before you reviews yah?

ok, iv used this gun, and i like it, it has a more powerful feel that the orignal 1911, and feels like a deagle,
the skin is slightly too dark for me, but i edited it using photoshop and made it a little brighter so that it matched my expectations, overall, gj

this thing rocks, the sounds by Vunsunta give a whole new meaning to the term power. the reload anims are pretty standard, but show off a lot of the gun, and the draw anims also display a lot of flashy textures. i give it a 10/10!
