This is the version of Soul Slayer's M4A1 with an added high poly RIS foregrip, bound to please some of you looking for the 'special' look. So here's the original review of the rest of the weapon:
I'm suprised this M4 was released, it spent a long time in WIP so I was shocked to suddenly see it appear out of nowhere, and the fact some brilliant new animations by Jennifer debut on this release makes it even better. The model by Soul Slayer is excellent, the high polycount certainly works in it's favour and everything is very smooth and well detailed. Thanez yet again proves his skill at creating dark skins, which adds to the detailed feel this M4 already has. Lastly, the animations by Jennifer I just love. Despite them being a simple mag in, mag out, bolt catch depress they are still very good, and in my opinion the best M4 anims released yet. They're also special due to the fact there are different reloads for silenced and unsilenced - a first as far as I know - which helps keep them from getting boring. the only issue with them are when spinning the silencer on, it does stop and change direction unnaturally, luckily though it isn't too noticeable. Overall this should be a very popular M4, give it a try. World models and reflective normal maps included.
Update 2: Textures now fixed, world models now work correctly.

The model is amazing with hardly any noticable aliasing problems. The one thing that stops me from using it is the animations, they're too robotic. If somebody made some new, flowing animations, this would be my permenent M4. Otherwise, it's off to the Recycle Bin for this. It saddens me to rate this an 8 when the model is worth so much more.

nothing wrong with it that i can see, i don't usually rate 10, but it earned it. Great model + skin. I actually kinda like the animations. It isn't robotic, but it does seem kind of mellow, like the person't having a stroll in the park. Very well done.

Wow, I love this skin, this is going to be my M4 for quite some time. Some people say the animations are robotic, I like them better since they seem more, shall we say, "practiced" than the default animations. I didn't like the custom firing sounds too much, but that's just me. Excellent model.

Really nice skin with great animations....but there's something wrong with the world model. A piece of it shows up as that pink and black checkered stuff. Has anyone else noticed this? Did I do something wrong?

I just downloaded it and the world model is still fucked up; the RIS is missing and is all purple.
The shoulder strap looks kinda stupid since it doesn't move when you're not reloading or working the silencer. There's probably no way around this, so whatever.
I agree the animations suck, especially since they aren't uniform with any other gun animations, giving it an "out of place" feel. The RIS looks like shit without AA turned on too, so unless your computer can handle AA, forget about this one.
All in all I'd grab one of the ANK/CJ M4A1 models instead, definately a far better choice.

this is now my official skin, i love it and i have no flaws with it. best m4a1 skin you can get in my opinion. it looks and feels the real deal. and the animnations are true arnie hardman style

Really good skin. My only prob is that the barell of the gun is purple and black checkered. I read the section about installing the skin correctly and I did. Please fix.

This M4 is a very nice weapon to use i find it more realistic then other models from the past with the high res poly's and all, but even during game play this M4 has such smooth and realistic firing feel to it with the added recoil to make it more like the M4, i find it alot more like the Ak to use which takes a little more skill to use when shooting headshots, And the Ak being my favorite weapon in the game i now have to rate this M4 as my favorite to use because of these new characteristics the've put in to it.
Im now only awaiting a new Ak bythis mob cuz i must say A JOB WELL DONE keep it up, this gun fires so smoothly and really brings the M4 to life in the game...Nice!

This is a fantastic piece of work. I'm shooting better with it than with any other skin I've used. The sound is really good, makes my subwoofer jump every time I fire! The strap moves when reloading, and the reload sequence is good, not robotic, just makes you look like you know what you're doing! Please make an AK skin 'cos I'm bored with what's out there. TOP WORK.

this skin is really good, the ris system is excellent and th reload animations are good, but the world model for this gun is the default m4 model and i'd really like some feedback on how to fix this thx

This skin is just awesome, ultra high poly with lots of attention paid to every single detail. One of the best things about this skin is its size, in my opinion it is probably the most to-scale m4 skin out there. Working high detail world models also boost this skins score and the realistic reload anim. My only gripe about this one is the silencer anim, which just seems a bit too unrealistic, but it in no way puts me off using this skin permanently. Good work fellas!

Literally a gun that's almost professional looking and feeling. What a skinner and animator. My only complaint is that when u reload and shoot with the silencer on, it glitches back to normal, instantly. Other than that, it's FECKEN awesome!
