Everyone knows how rediculously powered the AWP is, and if you know much about sniper rifles and the .50BMG cartridge, you will know that this gun fits perfectly for the role of the AWP. The model is nice and smooth with no aliasing issues. It is nice and hefty and conveys the feeling it must be to have to lug around such a heavy rifle. The scope seems to be "low poly" and by that I mean it would look fine if it was not for the white scratches around the scope which contrast with the black area of the scope too much and point out this out. Maybe I am overreacting, but the rest of the skin is fine so there is little to comment about except that little thing. The animations are nice, although the hand clips through the folded bipod a little bit. The lack of a bolt action might throw some people off but I am not a serious Deagle + AWP leet haxor so it doesn't bother me. The biggest let down for me was the lack of custom sounds. This gun lets out a tremendous roar when fired, and the standard AWP sound isn't all that great to begin with, so a custom firing sound is a must. Other than that, I enjoy using it.

It would be better if it got reflective scope and a bit more details and the w models don't work........But it will get 10 just because i am a big fan of the M82

The Model is AWESOME!!!
BUT: the skin isn't very good and somehow..it feels like something is missing. A new shooting sound for example, the original one somehow doesn't fit the weapon

First off: nice skin. It feels much more powerful then the default awm. But there are some big issues: First, the skin looks too undetailed, then the model is too big on screen, that makes it harder to use. Also it lacks at a new fire sound. The old one doesnt fit with this gun. But overall a nice replacement.

I think there might've been something wrong with the compile, but I fixed it. That's besides the point, though.
I love the model and the skin. I already have a pretty power-sounding awp sound, so the lack of sound didn't bother me. Great job.

First of all the world model comes out all purple and black, to remedy this take the "w_M82" folder and place that in the default "w_model" folder. No on to the review. Because the AWP is so powerful this great does a great job . Could replacement sound effects to make the gun sound as powerful as it really is but that's my 2 cents.

I really like the way this looks and the animation but there is a glitch, in others hands it is missing a texture and turns neon pink. This could be called a hack because you can even see it in the dark corners.

Would someone please bring out one massive massive Barrat .50BMG, I get so ... frustrated with the pathetic AWP sounds and click click of the cocking handle that i stop using it... I hope someone out there hears my cries and builds a luciously powerful M82 with equaly adiquite sounds and anims instead of all this Lonewolf & Birdhouse bull that is being made... Too classical...

totally agree with chaos. Model is perfect, in my opinion. The purple and black world model is kind of gay.. but besides that the detail and yet the simplicity of it is...... interestingly enough.... sexylicious.

this is nice but as every body said the sounds are off,,but its a nice model. Isnt the barret m82a1a semi-auto [=RDR=]-Koto, the bf2 sniper rifle is a barret m95, a shortened bulpup variant so its a daughter gen of the m82
