The scout section rarely sees an addition, let alone one that is a custom model, and this happens to be one of those rare ones. Other than low poly optic on the scope, the model is in proper working order. The wood reskin looks great, and fits the gun better than the synthetic version released awhile back. World models are included.

Oh man I love this! The addition of wood is genius, let alone the fact it's a C3A1. I can't quite place why, but for some reason this seems much better suited to be the rifle in the scout slot. More than anything else the wood texture wins me over, because it seems opted for terrorist use. I'm still awaiting the day I can be a sniping terrorist with a Dragunov skin, but, this just got me that much closer. Great job.

Wouldn't a Dragunov sniper model be more suited to the G3/AU-1? But yes, on to the review.
The wood finish is perfect for some, but others might not like the "classic" feel it has, particularly those who prefer the gadget-heavy models of today (Uber USP, I'm looking at you). However, in my eyes, this finish is classy and well done.
I can't say I like the scope, as much, however. The wonderful size is there, but, as the "official" review stated, really low polly optics. I consider myself a scope buff, really liking aimpoints, etc, and the detail that usually comes with them. The scope in this model, in my opinion, does not live up to the rest of the gun. This is my main problem with the C3A1 Scout, but I am incredibly picky when it comes to things like this.
Having always had a distaste of the original scout sounds, I loaded up the "Ultimate Scout" firing sounds, and the result is having a scout that feels chunky. Like the AWP's little brother, and not like the AWP's baby son. It's a good thing.
World models are great, and really portray the quality of the wood. Great job there.
My final, and smallest, gripe, is that, in my mind's eye, the wood should be a bit shinier than it is. The detail is great, but it doesn't shimmer the way some wood does, and in my opinion, this gun could use it.
8/10 for superb design, beautiful detail, and great to look at. -2 for the scope and the lack of shine. Great job to all whom it may concern.

This is a very nice model, however, I dont particularly like the origins or the scope and I am downed by the fact that it doesn't have custom sounds. i love the c3a1, the only problems that i have with the rifle is the scope and the fact bolt is on the wroung side, ppl said the sound was wreak but it was alright.

I used this and while most people like it I can't get used to it. The wood looks redish. and the scope has a flipper thing on it.... just.... not a skin for me

this gun is horrible some servers wont allow you into there game its got a slidder for the scope which is gross and realy annoying its terrable
