Its a good idea. Its just this replacement has WAY to many problems ith the lighting. Also you rarly see most of the gun. Its ok for a first try IMO

nice, ya the look of it is bland(when you see it) but the feel of haveing such a powerful weapon in your hands makes up for it (for me at least)

I like the Idea, and the model is good, But the two things that hold it back I think is the reflects, and that when you see someone else holding it, they are holding the bottom, where the player model is holding grip.

Poor job done on this replacement.
The gun model itself is okay but the arm model is peiced together around the elbow like frankenstein.
The idle animation is simply ANNOYING.
The model seems too still when firing (the m249 actually gives a sense of high recoil, which this model does not.)
Hopefully this model will be fixed up soon.

Gotta Agree with Kaon. I was so excited when this was released. And it was a huge let-down. With little to no feeling of recoil, i felt like i was shooting a weak little BBgun. I expected much better animations, i didn't even think it was shooting until i turned my sound on. No feel of power, major letdown overall on something that coulda been so great.

This is the first remodelled m249 for source that i've seen but it lacks something, it's kind of bland i supose, so if you like detailed skins i wouldn't recommend this one

It's pretty great. Although i think the firing animations and idle animations got mixed up. I know this cuz when you hav 0/0 ammo you stop "humping" the gun. I give it a nine cuz i luv the gun

I didn't really like the Para to begin with, and this made me sort of interested in it. The skin does seem to lack detail, though.

Its like ur playing HITMAN2 the end lvl! u got the same Minigun but there they didnt used so much lack and it didnt shine as if it's fresh b0rn! I think if u would make it just a little bit more used and not so shinning it would be my favourite weapon! I really love the sound! i never liked the normal para soud! he were just a .....doga....doga....doga....doga....doga....doga....! but now its a real reallistic sound! and u dondt think that the para is slooooooowwwww!

This gun is similar to marmite, you either (a)love messin about with some m8's mowing down the opposing team with a gattling gun. Or (b) you are very touchy about your skins and realism.
If you want some fun, arent bothered to detail and just like the sense of total distruction DOWNLOAD IT NOW.
If you like lots of detail in the weapon, animations and a sense of realism LOOK AWAY NOW.

i luv this gun in first person view, hate it in 3rd person view the way they hold it, but when "i" make a server wit a few bots and get that gun its bobs so much its annoying and it bobs a bit in normal servers not to much.

This is a good change from your average machine gun. The only problems are that when you aren't shooting, it bobs up and down a lot and if you are watching someone in 3rd person, they put their hands on the sinning barrels. That is a mistake, as their hand would be very sore the next morning. Other than that, the gun is awesome, but smaller than I had expected. Very cool skin, way more good stuff than there is bad. I give i an 8 Fo Sho.

as soon as i saw this skin i had to have it, but after i played and tested it, i was let down by the fact that u only get to see the barrel during reloads. there must be a way round this THINK. lol gd though

Hands shake way too much when walking around with it - annoying.
Sounds crap.
Undetailed.
Stick to the default is my advice. Try it out for fun, but it's not a keeper.

First off, the sounds are terribly obnoxious. When I'm running around the map and it sounds like someone is vacuuming, I know this weapon is being used.
Secondly, the idle animation. It looks as if whoever is holding it is trying to skip whilst lugging around this huge hunk of steel.
The model is good, but unfortunately, I find the textures to be a littel disappointing.
This mod has great potential if it is worked on more, and complimented with some sounds that are fitting and less lke a household appliance.

First off, this model is very low poly. The skin is plain and undetailed, and the animations are horrible (especially the gun humping idle animation). And also, this is not freakin doom or unreal tournament, it's counter strike and if I want a minigun I will play one of those, or just watch predetor. But I think this is the most original effort I have seen yet, so 6/10 for trying.

Average.
Pros: Very cool looking gun, feels like you got a LOT of power in your hands. Very good concept, better than just reskinning the same weapon.
Cons: THE ARMS. Its down right annoying, watching them move out, then instantly snap back into place, then move out again, looping every few seconds.
I didnt have a problem with reflect maps, but thats just me.
