Nuke Wednesday - It's coming!
Posted by MadHatter - 18 comments
Those guys over at Valve have recently announced the coming of de_nuke! That's right, it's coming next wednesday:
This week we also annouced that a new version of Red Orchestra will be making it's way to Steam. This MOD team was the winner of the "Make Something Unreal" contest. Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 is a standalone follow-up with new single and multiplayer content, and it is due for release via Steam around the start of next year. You can get more information on it at the Red Orchestra web site With so many Source engine MODs currently in development, we felt we should point out a few that have been released. Head over to the MOD Database and check out the Half-Life 2 MODs Comments

"We're currently targeting Wednesday, November 30th as the release date"
I'd say that means next month maybe, atleast we know they haven't forgoten. Posted by Peter the Hermit
player models???????????

Must say the November date they gave was very cheap if it is going to be on the 30th. By the time they actually release it it'll probably be December in England if another later release.
Once again it is only a target as well and no guarantee and could easily get pushed back. As for the player models: "The map should be ready to go in a few weeks, and the new player models will show up shortly after Nuke is made available." Posted by Crazy Asian

Hmmm well its now 4PM in my town and yet... No nuke. I'm going to hope it comes out at 3PM in seattle like they did with DOD source. Thatd mean itd come out at 6 PM here. As long as they release it before the week is over its fine i suppose.

It's midnight here so only just at a point where you'd expect them to release it, still a few hours left to stay within the usual timings. The Steam bandwidth thing is dropping as well by the looks of it.

guess its not coming on time like usual

By the fact the dip started just under an hour ago I'd say they are doing it on time, unless it is an unrelated update (at that size I'm not sure what it'd be other than Nuke though). It'll probably come in an hour. Whether the map will come with anything "useful" is doubtful though.
