Had this problem a while ago, and it miraculously disappeared. But now its back.

Whenever my hard drive has to do something, my mouse and sound lags to hell.
As in,
- my mouse looks like its going at about 20fps and it stops every now and then for about half a second.
- my music/any windows sound sounds like its been slowed down in some tacky program. (windows media player)

It just started doing this thing where, i move the mouse and the cursor doesnt move at all, but i can hover over links and it changes the icon. It finally catches up and snaps to the position i had my invisible cursor

If i'm just moving the mouse around or playing music on its own its hardly noticable, but still there.
If i try and open folders or run a program or something though, it rapes itself.

I would guess that the particular files/programs you are trying to use are infected with a trojan/worm/standard internet crap that you get from visiting danish beastiality porn sites.

Ive had that on a bunch of my files, especially things I get from mates when we LAN.
(They dont seem to take security that serious, lol).

Deleting was the only thing that worked for me. It will probably tell you that it is copyrighted/protected at first.(and you cant change it). I just restarted my PC a couple of times and tried deleting them once or twice a day, then after a couple of days it was suddenly possible to delete them.


I'm no expert (far from it), so dont put too much weight on what I say

try anti virus programs to detect the viruses ,fix what you can with the anti virus ,then manually delete what ever your anti virus couldn't fix , to do that you need to start your windows in safe mod ,just keep pressing F8 in the boot menu (that is the black screen when you first start your PC) until you see several options ,press safe mod and wait till the windows start ,and now you should be able to delete those files

when you're done just restart your PC and hope for the best .Good luck

Just dont delete any important files in system32 etc.

no ,you should only delete the files that are detected by the anti virus ,but was not able to fix\delete them by it self,make a list of them if you wish then do as I told you above^

lag problem is gone. Repaired windows installation with the CD.
