i checked out the pinned topic about consistency errors but it doesnt say any thing about errors for the GAME_SOUND_MANIFEST.cfg file
thats the error i get when i try to get in some servers
the only solution i tried to think of is removing that file but if i do that sounds wont work : /

in C://Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/User name/Counter-Strike Source/cstrike/ is a folder called "scripts", look in this folder and make sure the names od each waepon you have skinner are spelled right, and that there is a correct script for each gun skined (meaning the scripts work), also make sure that there are no "Odd" scripts, like one for the shells of bullets in your scripts folder. also there should be not scrits in there other then the ones for your weapons, if you realy have to chec the "game_sounds_manifest.txt" in the scripts folder to make sure it matches the scripts you realyt do have, if there is one in the list that needn't be there try getting a new manifest.

Or course you can also have Steam do a check on the Count-strike cache file, go into your "My Games" page on steam, right click on CSS, and chose properties, and go to "Local Files" from there you can do 2 main things other then deleting the content. You can have its cintent verified and you can deframgent it. or you can do the shebang and get it all over with because if you can find a realt solution to this let me know ok?
