hello, I'm from Indonesia and still new to CS:Source. I've downloaded skins from this site but something definitely went wrong, because in game some guns are sticking out from the character's bodies when being used. I've read the post for installing skins but I still not understand what should I do. Pls help!

that's because probably you have a illegal version of the game.
just download different skins until you find a one that works for your version

No, if memory serves it's probably because of a certain update ages ago ruined a load of skins, they need to be recompiled. In other words, they're broken, nothing you can do.

Well it depends where.

If it isn't properly updated the weapons will float in your guys hand or side pocket.

You have to recompile the skins, and its a bitch to do if you're not into the whole skinning thing. It took me ages to figure out how to recompile, and I've forgotten how since I haven't had to do it for over 2 years. Just find newer skins, explaining how to recompile at this point would be an exercise in futility.

I wouldn't doubt it if it was a pirated copy. In Indonesia (yay, another Indonesian ), pretty much all forms of media are bootlegged and pirated. Finding legit stuff there is quite rare. Usually in the big cities and big malls is where legit tings are found.

So, pretty much, you would have to find models and stuff released before August 2005.

So what do small company's(if you want to call them that) just download a bootlegged version or something and just mass produce it and sell it for cheap?

More like, some guy will lease a small store, bootleg and pirate a bunch of shit and then sell them for about $.50-$1

I used to live in Syria. They had "technicians" who lent their services to retailers for pirated shiz. Pretty sure its a similar deal.

believe me there are some companies that buy the original version and make a crack for it then maybe even make there own installation for it (carrying there logo) produce it in the form of DVDs and sell it .
Here they import this shit from Syria mainly (I think the company name is SCC or something like that ) , then sell it for about 2$ a DVD . same goes for movies , TV shows ....etc.

Why would matter if people see the games being copied.

People know when the game isn't real and when it is copy so i'm sure it don't matter.

The price of pirated games/movies over there is probably equivalent to what we pay for legit copies of them here. Its all pirated because they can't get proper access to things. Plus black markets are huge in many countries.

I don't know i could easily start /Game back up disks for 5 dollars a pop and people would eat them up like crazy. However there are ala MOVIE alot of snitches at my school so it wouldn't be wise. And i would prolly get caught later due to the fact my school like to use the police when ever they possibly can.

What? It's like $.50 to a $1 for games and movies and CDs. Indonesia isn't THAT poor of a country if $.50-1.00 is equivalent to $50-$60.

I didn't mean it in that sense. I meant that $2 for some media is affordable according to living standards, whereas $50 or $60 would probably be reserved for things more important than just a video game. I wasn't implying that anyone was necessarily poor.

Well, back to the main topics, the problem really IS my CS versions . I've downloaded several different old skins and it worked just fine. Haha...
