Ok heres the deal I need you opinions on some banners I have made, and I want you guys to tell me I you like it, Hate it, or how i can do better.

I don't like the font for the RAW, but I like the third one the best. Oh and spell "Wardawgs," "WarDogs." It's not cool, really.

i like the first one.

it's good, but I have to say, I like the first and third one best, the 2nd one just doesn't seem to have any point. They're all nice, though in my opionion you should use blending a little more by reducing opacity, using blurs etc. I would add more blotches of techno-lines here and there in the first one change the font of RAW, and remove where it says "fun" on the CSS symbol. I would definitely go with the first one, with proper editing it could look awesome.

The blending this is a good idea, I've never fully used it before and every time i do i just mess it up, but its worth giving it a more practiced touch now. I still need to get Photoshop though so I can realy go nuts on some of these and realy make something that stands out, (Ihad a 30 day trail so I now a little about the program and I did a few niece projects with it).

I'm going to work on a remake of 1, and 3, and see If I can't make an all new one uing photos and other pics.

OH and just for Silver Bullet the name is spelled right Dawgs is word in use by the militry, I should know after all, I'm in the US Army. My frist platoon in basic was called: 4th Platoon Mad Dawgs.

I must say that the last one looks good , you should go with it.

hmm, I've never used the microsoft program, ehm... you DEFINITELY need to get Photoshop... but what you have there looks nice. what I would do is make all of the electro-lines blue.. but a slightly more faded shade, good job on the CS symbol but if you can move it to the right and down a bit that would be ace. also I would erase some of the electro-lines if you can, just to give it a slightly more randomly scattered look. Finally, just in my opinion, I would iether make the font as darker cooler shade and mabey not green, if it's possible to make it see-through, I always like that effect with a outlining border.

Considering what you're working with, it looks really good man, keep it up! All the stuff I talk about is just my opinion, others might find it hideous, I just think that with three different neon shades plus neon writing and the fact that it doesn't flow together it looks too busy, so if you iether randomly scattered stuff or overlapped, (in both cases making it all a nice darker shade of blue) you could have a badass looking banner in no time, even without Photoshop.

Could I have a go at making a banner for you?

If you guys want to make some RAW feel free i'd love to see waht you can come up with!, I like some of the ideas that Dowbloaded said, and I'm going to try and make some see through text, I'll even try an invisible text with just an outline. Might look badass.......

And i ready would like to thank you guys for the constructive critizium, its a lot better then, that sucks, or give up now and get a real job. So thank you.

Also i'm goin to try and do some textured sprict, and see if i can make a believible looking rust effect on some text, if i could bump map it i would, but I can't. i don't have any program that can do that....yet.

if you guys are looking to make your own banners for this the size is: 754 x 137, the name is visible on the other banners, the CS logo is not a requresit, its just something I've been throwing in there, I think I'll stop doing that, it all wasy seems out of place, well I might try maing it look like the lines in terms of color and glow...............

Oh and I wish I had photoshop, but even if i did I'd prolly need a book to show me how to use it.

there are plenty of ways to get photoshop, by buying or downloading... I don't necissarily support doing it illegaly, though I'm forced to do so because of where I live. I'm not allowed to talk about how to get it para-legally, so PM me, and I would be glad to tell you if you have the intention to buy a legal version when you get the chance, and once you have it, we would be happy to show you how to use Photoshop, it's plenty fun, there are hundreds of online tutorials and people here are always very helpful. seeing as you've done nothing but be a nice guy, I'm sure they'd have no problem with helping you out.

As soon as I get back from vacation in a few days I'll be right on entering a wallpaper for the wallpaper comp. a sig for the sig comp. and a banner for your clan, though don't give up on making one yourself it's not easy in the begining, I'm still pretty bad compared to what some of the people here can do (speaking of which Zero.ANS hasn't been seen in a LONG time, has anyone else noticed?).

Ok guys tell me what ya think of my new sig, The other one doesn't fir this type of forum. EVE-Online (RPG), and Counter-strike (FPS) don't mix to well in my opinion. I still what a new BG for it but over all I think it came out nice, the sad part is that the best bg i can find for what I want to do. I'll keep looking, becuase I'm terrible at making that kind od lines on my own.

ok, here it is, I'm not crazy about the end product but it's decent for a first creation since I got back.

Dude nice, I love it, just one small hic-up. Its not Radically "Advanced" Wardawgs, its Radically Aggressive Wardawgs. but still its bad ****** man, nice job .

I have a suggestion that may help: Remove the black strokes on your tech brushes.
The pixels are hurting my eyes lol

But thats probably just going to make it look boring, because the brushes are white with low opacity,
and the background is grey. Making a different background is the answer

Therefore, I think you should get some grunge brushes, and use a strong color. Then, add some diagonal scanlines.
This should increase the feeling of "tech". You wont have to change the tech brushes,
they seem to be well placed and I think they will end up looking pretty good


Btw, this is only a suggestion, but i think it would turn out pretty nice.
So if you're up for it, give it a try


Also, the font is sweet, it looks real good
If you go for my suggestion you might want to change the color overlay though.
Because if you have a colorful background it will only make the text seem dull.
Perhaps change it to a color that fits the new background.

ah come on I was only kidding! you gave good sound advice as far as i can tell, but i know next to nothing about photoshop so what you said was all jibberish to me, sorry.

haha, naw, I like it when Scud gives me suggestions, he's put out some nasty (in a good way) stuff, I saw the black lines, and I figured I would try and make it a black background to make them disappear , but that just made it look like ******, so I tried going for gray and I decided not to go for grunge because I tend to always use grunge/fractal in my sigs, and I want to try something new.
