Maybe it is an auto status. After a while being gone it will put it on that. Or maybe it is a custom status.

Yeah it's auto status. It does that after X amount of hours being away.

I'm on snooze right now and I just played CSS. Weird.

Oh God, I was just wondering a similar thing (what is the difference between snooze and away?) so I googled 'steam snooze' and clicked the first result without even noticing it leads to this thread on dearest CSDL. Yet another phrase we bizarrely seem to be among the top results for.

Anyway, during inactivity 'away' happens after 5 minutes and 'snooze' happens after 2 hours.

VERY USEFUL 2 YEARS LATER.
