Yeah, don't know if anyone remembers me, this is Milkman (erhuh who would have guessed from the name).

Just checking in, I see that csdl is still around, although I see a distinct lack of updates in the skin section. There are some reasons for this I can understand, browsing through CDG I see a distinct lack in quality reskins, many new releases have errors, stupid themes that don't cater to a larger audience, etc. But that doesn't stand as an excuse for such a lack of progress. Instead of taking any of the suggestions I described in my "retirement notice," I still see poor elanzer toiling away on reviews, very few reviews, but still unecessary work. IF any management would like to engage in a discussion on this topic, this thread should serve as a useful forum for that conversation.


So please, do respond.

Well, it's pretty much just been me around here for quite a while now, Com is busy on projects and Mad has been away for some time. I myself have been alternating between both really busy and really lazy the last few months so skins and moderating, basically the whole site as you can see has slipped into somewhat of a dormant period for now. Still, things are still working slowly behind the scenes (I'm sure you'll remember just how slow) and one day the site will get back on track.

One thing I never understood was the lack of participation on this web site. Every other skin site seems to have inumerable legions of skin submitters/reviewers/Quality control, but it was basically me and you elanzer, now its just you. Honestly, what the ******? Just bad luck or something?

I think it's a good thing because Elanzer's one of only a few people who can upload the skins etc., here that can upload the skins so if there certainly was an "Inumerable legion" of skin submitters etc then he'd have a rather hard time trying to sort it all out.

Stands to question why you wouldn't just come back as Milkman, though is it likely he will be back Administrating the site once more.

I asked for Elanzer to delete my past account, out of security concerns and general disdain for what I was involved in, I didn't want it in the record. I have only came by to inquire on recent activities. From what I have been informed of, there really isn't much for me to come back to, I'm fine doing my own thing, not being the servent of a generally apathetic community population.

Theres nothing to tell, you find worthy skins, test them, review them and upload them. Simple as that. If you had questions Elanzer was the man to talk to, I know I bugged the ****** out of him myself.

Well the thing is, i cant do that right now because I dont have my "powers" yet. And Elanzer wont be arsed to put them up if I did.

He prolly isnt just "handing them out" because if you give it to too many people "powers" every thing hits the fan and it can destroy a whole foundation. I saw it first hand =(

well thats all good and well. but its more a case of needing a balance rather than giving everybody and their dog the ability to put thigs up.

right now, its been ages since there was any sort of update in terms of repalcements, and as i read it, it seems that thats because theres nobody to do it. ****** untill i thought to check the forums, i figured this place had just died.

Milkman says there are almost no worthy releases anymore...? well thats his opinion, but i seriously beg to differ. theres loads of possible replacements to review since this place stopped updating.

This site will be going threw a change at the 7/7/7.
So, you know all we can do is wait.

regardless i personally see no reason to stop doing the skin updates. theres not that many places that can provide consistant hosting for the better releases out there. I can't possibly see how thats a bad thing, albeit not entirely original. (then again, what exactly do you consider 'more original'?)
