I spent a lot of time writing some reviews that were pretty elaborate and informative and whenever I hit the Submit button it says "Your review has been submitted, please wait.." and it redirects me to the user reviews page. Problem is my reviews aren't on it and haven't been for a week.

I've tried numerous times and to no avail. What's going on?

I think the system is bugged, Youll have to ask Elanzer about it.

I guess I should just wait for him to reply?

Sorry to say it but the review system got wiped not long ago because we were having problems and it was full of junk so finding anything decent was impossible. If you want you can resubmit now and I'll take a look at it.
