Don't know if any of you use these, but as innaccurate as they are they're still good at giving you a rough performance score of your PC, and they're pretty nice to look at too. Warning: Depression caused by low score is a known side-effect of useage.

skladfin
too bad im qualified for it. which leaves me no choise but to test smile.gif

Judging from your specs I'd guess you'll get around the same as mine, probably a few more thanks to your 2 gigs of RAM.

Oh, ok, thanks. I just barely meet the minimum requirments, I'll probably get something really low.
TheEndless
Mine doesn't even meet the minimum requirements.. shame on me.. sleep.gif

2GB didnt really help eh? and im very disappointed wiht my score, everybody here is.
SoNny
I am stunned. I am downloading 3Dmark 06 from fileplanet, with no sub and the download rate is 2500 KB/sec... biggrin.gif

I should subscribe to them, or maybe its my land line...
skladfin
what!? holy ******, what internet are you using?
TheEndless
fileplanet uses kilobit not kilobyte, it is 1/8 of 2500KB/s which is 312.5KB/s

Umm no, the Firefox downloader uses Kilobytes, I dont use the Fileplanet downloader...
I have Charter cable...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are my crappy scores...

SM 2.0: 881

HDR: N/A

CPU:892

Oh yes, I also notices on the Futuremark system information that is says my CPU's architecture is a 64 bit...
Intel P4 with HT, is it the HT?
TheEndless
fileplanet will not let you have that kind of speed, i don't know about the ones who pays for their service, but if you are using free public servers, there is no way they will let you have such speed, it will crash their server big time if everybody does that.

Well I got that speed for a spike of 13 seconds, then it dropped to 1500 for 3 minutes. The rest was at 900...
It happened, no doubt about it pal...
TheEndless
now you are talking.. i always start downloading stuff at the speed of 5000kb/s but then it kept dropping and dropping till like 700-800kb/s. The way you said 2500kb/s seemed like it is the constant speed.

Missed the final overall score out...
As for 64-buit you probably have one of the Prescott socket 775s which have 64-bit extensions.
TheEndless
El.. you can beat me up, your score is more than 19 times of mine. 126 points.. what the hack!!!
SoNny
Scratch that, downloaded Intel CPU ID utility...

Ive got the 64 bit extension...
How on Earth did I not know that before...
skladfin
hahahah 19times!! LMAO
TheEndless
Two thousand four hundred and ninety three divided by one hundred and twenty six equals to nineteen point seventy nine (rounded up to hundredth) Sigh.. i should kill myself right now. sleep.gif
skladfin

OCed my 6800GT to 400/1120. changed alot but still cant beat Elanzer.

QUESTION TO ELANZER: are you disabling fastwrites?
Elanzer
Nope, fastwrites is on.
Ev0
I use AusGmaers for big files, usually get good speeds off there
free servers, still 600Mg, just to tell me how bad my PC is rolleyes.gif
I'll post my score after.
Elanzer
Did a little tuning and raised my score a bit.

skladfin
so what are the "tunings"?
JerInX
QUOTE (skladfin @ Jan 22 2006, 12:53 AM)

Elanzer
Overclocking the card and CPU to overheating levels, disabling all programs and services that aren't essential, a few small driver modifications, the usual stuff really.
skladfin
so i dont think it was that safe huh?
AngelofDeath
My specs don't even compare to the requirements lol. And i'm on 56k so ****** that.
Jamoche
Ev0
I came in at around double Endless's score... sad.gif
batmAn IV˛
Heres my score. Check my profile for my specs.

JerInX
Uber Score.
Elanzer
Damn 7800s.

And Jerinx if you think 3000's an uber score what would you call the 10,000+ dual 7800GTX's are getting?
JerInX
Thats Uber 1337 Super Duber Haxor Score.
Jamoche
Can somone answer my question?
batmAn IV˛
It looks like a pretty good score, just your CPU score is kinda low. But thats what happens with a 3.0 gig processor. But it dosent really matter, as long sa you can run the great games, which im sure your able to.

And El, I personally find it rediculous that someone would want dual 7800GTX's. I mean if you can afford it and really want it thats great but... Honestly who really needs it. i think 180 FPS in source is MORE than enough. lol
Jamoche
The cpu test was joke really, it was rendering about 1 frame every 10 seconds. I think tonight i might clean out my fans and set them on maximum. Overclock some stuff and see if i can get around 2500.
