Hey Guys,

I'm going to be a college student in a few weeks and to get myself prepared I decided to buy a proper version of Microsoft Office. I looked for student discounts online and this was the best deal I could find: http://www.microsoft.com/student/discounts...us/default.aspx

I logged on with my university email address, registered and bought the product, I also ordered a backup DVD. It seems like exactly what I need considering it says in the EULA that it can be installed on both a laptop and a desktop... Which is exactly what I have.

Anyway, I ordered the product and downloaded it (the file was about 500mb if that's at all helpful) and saved it to my desktop, however, when I ran the install file just to see if it worked (my older version of MS Office was still installed at the time), it gave me a message saying the installer failed. I looked it up online and found that it's an error that can sometimes occur when another version of office is installed and you're trying to install a new one. I uninstalled my other Office suit and tried running the installer again and the same message came up... I'm a little worried I've been scammed seeing as when I try and track my order the site tells me no orders have been registered.

I'm a little scared and more than a little confused, please help!

Yeah... I guess I paid my money, fuck them if it doesn't work I'll use the key they gave me to pirate it.

Call them and ask. Tell them if you don't you will blow yourself up for rivers of honey and 72 virgins.

Sounds reasonable. I actually fixed it; I cleaned up my registry and redownloaded the file and everything installed fine. Now I have legit Office Ultimate. Gonna put the file on a CD for safe keeping.

Still wasted your money.
