My PC is very quiet, but I'm pretty sure having it next to my head for an extended period of time would cause significant distress to my eardrums.

Very. Keep in mind that's where everyone answers the phone and my dad handles his business, so there's shit loads of papers with numbers on them. Above that is manuals and the like. I try to keep my game section of the top shelf in order, but it does nothing to distract from the mess on the desk.

I got the same setup, only thing is i only have a computer and my tv in this room. My tv stand is a fucking metal foldout chair, and i have been on a air mattress for the past fucking month. Not some fancy one or anything, the 10 dollar kind that you get for fucking camping. It deflates all the fucking time, and it is doing fucking wonders for my back /sarcasm.

Alas, I agree with you both. My girlfriend bitches about wires on the floor if I move the speakers about. In my old place I had the speakers spread out nicely.

Seems to me El and Scud are the only ones on this site that don't have really sketchy looking computer setups. Mine's not horrible but it certainly isn't anything to brag about.

If I organized the wires I don't think my battlestation wouldn't look so sketchy. At least our stations aren't set up in what appears to be project housing, like Shaun's... maybe he chills with the North Philly druglord

As my Battlestation is two computers and a pile of shit strewn across two desks I'm not sure if the community is ready for the horror that I will bestow on them with my pictures.

DO IT ANYWAYS.

If you mean it was in that layout but set to only function as a 2.1 system... It would work as intended I guess, but surround satellites are a bit weedy and only having 2 of them active would sound poor. It would also be a waste having the other 3 go unused.

So what I would do is set it to function as 2.1 and link the rear and front channels together to make use of as many of the satellites as possible. A 2-channel quadraphonic system if you like.

Or if you literally meant what you said and all but 2 satellites are broken, just throw it out.

Its a 4.1 with a dodgy adapter so until either I get two speaker in slots on my case or a new adapter I'm stuck with a 2.1 sound.
