Yeah. Looking to buy a new GPU.
The rest of my PC is getting on a bit though, so I don't want to buy something stupidly overkill.
Upgrading from this thing:
Processor:
Intel® Core2 Duo CPU E6850 @ 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory:
2048MB RAM
Video Card:
Radeon X1950

As nindeice said, PCI 1.0 / 2.0 are both compatible with eachother and don't really make any difference anyway, so don't worry about using a 'new' card with your 'old' board.
Get a Radeon 4800 series (budget: 4850, recommended: 4870, at most: 4890) or Geforce 200 series (budget: GTS250, recommended: GTX260, at most: GTX275).
Both series are current gen, popular, complimentary to your existing setup, and such performance has never been so cheap.
