If the graphics aren't deceptively shitty like the last game, and there's actually some decent gameplay unlike the last game, I'll probably end up getting it now that PGR is gone.

It was alright but the game isn't any good, SW canon is butchered enough as it is without arbitrarily creating yet another period of conflict out of nowhere.
I'm in total agreement. The Star Wars storyline hardly makes sense anymore... For a while I tried to clear up my confusion by spending a bunch of time wiki-ing the Star Wars story until I lost interest, realized it didn't matter, and accepted that not much of it was coherent anymore anyway.

If you saw the video...the graphics are great. Also, they say (well...not the developers but people from like IGN and whatnot) that there are many difficulty settings to where it almost plays like an arcade racer (think PGR).

Maybe I'm just a bitch, but I like how the rims actually spin, and don't just get overlayed/covered with some blurry sprite after hitting a certain speed that looks like a fast spinning wheel (albeit crappily) like some other racing games.

Well sky, it's still going to be a racing sim. But they have what they call "one button racing" which basically brakes for you. It's said that the difficulties are quite flexible that pretty much anyone can play it and have fun, for people like you. Forza 3 even has a rewind option much like grid's.

I'm not finding Forza 3's actual gameplay graphics very impressive, much like the second there's still a lot of grainy mipmaps and flat dull textures, they look about equal to PGR3's... probably because of the same cutbacks to go chasing 60FPS:
