I know it was a bit of a disappointment and even UT diehards like myself didn't buy it, but it's on free weekend on Steam for some reason, and it includes the latest update which adds a fuckton of maps, modes, improvements, and achievements.

Edit: Steam has been 'too busy' all day to let me start downloading despite the UK content servers being <25% strained... Nearly 6 years of entirely hassle-free use and now this on a damn free weekend. Sigh.

Tried reinstalling it and all that too. Oh well.

Same as me, and a few other people. Even then speeds are apparently shitty. Don't know why, servers aren't that loaded...

The patches since have really improved it, almost feels like classic UT... I used to be godlike back in the old days, but now I'm shit, so does anyone want to join me?

Did they fix the flak going in a arch rather than a straight line?

That was one of my biggest problems with the game and it is still somewhat arced, but has definitely improved, or at least I'm actually finding it usable now.

Alright, going to download it overnight so hopefully I'll be able to play for a day or two.

It's only $10 too, so I might buy it if it ends up being good. :0
