I think that little bit you said was something like: I understand french a little bit (but not much?). Im dutch (netherlands?) something. I am weak at french as i didnt study. All in all i am better at english than french.

Yeah, I took French for a while and I can't carry on a conversation. I understood what Nova wrote, but not what the op wrote... The French part that is.

i took french(mandatory till grade 6) then i chose not to learn it in grade 7 because we picked our classes.

We got to pick between : extra norwegian lessons, advanced english, german or french.

I went for German Never really bothered with it though, so my german is uber-dire >.<

Officially: French, German, and Latin here. Just about able to scrape by the simple stuff with each but far from fluent.
Bonus unofficially: Spanish, Norwegian, Urdu, and Zulu over various points since finishing formal education but in telling you the latter got the furthest it paints a pretty good picture of just how unsuccessful these attempts were.
