I got a shower brush, an HDTV which I think doubles as a grad gift, and I still have a present waiting for me back home in Egypt that I guess came from the states, which I'm really excited about. I got to spend Christmas with the family, which I'm thankful for even though it's always a little awkward considering we see them once, maybe twice per year but definitely still nice, and in a day we leave for Austria to go skiing.

i didnt get anything, i didnt get my video card i have been waiting for, for 3 years, didnt get my new mouse cus my gaming one broke, didnt get my headphones that i needed. i didnt get anything. worst fucking christmas ever. not jolly or happy at all, just sad, i saw no smiles today. today was horrible

PS3 wasn't bad, the only problem is none of my friends had it. So no one was ever on lol. I'm still prolly gonna get Resistance 2 and Killzone 2.

Oh dear, not Killzone/Resistance. Last hope of the PS3 rabble.

Some would say the likes of Halo or Gears are overhyped for what they are, true enough, but it's undeniable they are none the less first rate genre defining shooters. When it comes to all this Resistance/Killzone hyping though, they are in all truth utterly average shooters you'd expect to find in a bargain bucket. The originals earned a 7/10 as an aggregate review score for a reason - The only notable game produced by either developer is Ratchet & Clank.

I want 3D Pokémon blue. It's never going to happen.

To be fair there are quality games that exist on the PS3. However they are few and far between if exclusive.

I can only think of two that I'd regard as quality.

MGS4 - Only appealing to those who have played the others in the series and/or enjoy the most convoluted and pretentious narrative known to man and the same tired old gameplay. And those who fall victim to the hype machine.

LBP - Fun for a while, but it's pretty basic, limited, repetitive, and overall doesn't deserve to be classed as a full game in my opinion. Reports of hundreds of levels being deleted by moderators for inane reasons don't help either. It's been a massive flop.

Stephen Fry narrates it, so the only thing I can presumably say is awesome about it is the narration.

Don't forget about how the Playstation store uses real currency rather than "points".
I've noticed with M$ points you're often left with a few extra after making a purchase. They kinda dick you over sometimes. Other than that, Xbox seems much better.

Seeming bundles of points purchased are bound to your account, buying something and having some points left over afterwards would only be dicking you over if your intention is never to buy anything else on the marketplace ever again.

It would be nice to be able to pay in real currency (if only to put values into better perspective), but the advantage of using MS points is you don't have to pay your credit/debit card transaction fee for each purchase, which presuming the average user makes numerous purchases, saves money.
