So far, this single image has already reignited the "MGS on Xbox 360" rumor. Others feel that it's for a new Metal Gear title on the iPhone, or a new Metal Gear Ac!d title, or for something else entirely.

It's a power button, remains to be soon what for, but the green could be a nod towards the 360, on the other hand it might not be.

Indeed...also...green is usually power for most electronics.

In all honesty it's a bit of a rubbish teaser, I would of thought they'd put a bit more effort into it if it was something as big as jumping the sinking ship that is the PS3, but then again it's always possible seeming the only thing holding it back was an MGS4 exclusivity deal. Speaking of which, does anyone still care about a MGS4 port? I was vaguely interested a while back but then when it turned out to be a bit average I quickly lost interest.

Just a few things i found that make sense and are kinda funny.




i + ! = 4, there are 2 total marks on each I, making 4 total tallies. The "i" and "!" also mark opposite axis's on a complete circle, representing 180 degree turns from the other. Therefore 180 + 180 = 360

So... "A next metal gear is 4-360" =

"A NEXT METAL GEAR IS FOR 360"

More Proof:
The "!" also represents the general shape of a verticle 360 console, a tower with a ring of light at the bottom. And the final picture represents the final console after the ADDITION of the 180 degree turns; it makes a 360 rotation. It also obviously represents the power button on the 360 and the illuminating green glow.

I personally don't give a shit about fanboys, and all that. I just think it is bullshit to punish fans for buying a different console of their choice.

It would be nice just to see it on the 360. I don't care how they would do it, just be nice to have MGS 4 on it.

I thought about that too, Tut. Guns' explanation seems like a 360 fanboy's desperate attempt at finding some way for it to relate to 360. I'm not saying it's impossible but just... Really elaborate. I think it's kind of funny how the 360 just gets stronger and stronger as time goes by, this would be a huge blow to the PS3. After this I'm pretty sure all they really have left is Little BIG Planet, which is still a really, really cool title.

PS3 sales have stagnated, and the 360 is still pulling away. We all knew it would happen, just look at the lack of any decent exclusives and the inferior experience you get with multi-format games on it.

LBP is an interesting game but everyone was pinning too much on it, I don't know about anywhere else but here the sales are really suffering, it fell from being in the top 5 at release to the depths of 'not even in the top 20' within its second week.

That's a bummer, I've played it and it really does deserve a lot of credit. It's unique, it's fun and it's really, REALLY good looking. If LBP ever made it to 360, I think PS3 would be sunk.

The more I look at LBP the more hollow it looks to me. PS3 just doesn't have any interesting games (to me bar a few).

I heard from a JRPG nut that Square Enix dropped the ball on that one.

Play any good 2D platforming game in existence. Then water it down. That is what LBP looks like to me. But meh.

Sorry I meant last remnant or something, the title that SE did for the 360 that was a JRPG. They used the unreal 3 engine and it suffered from it. I'm assuming that they are going to be doing something similar to the FF title.

You always do this. You take a look at a game and pass judgment on it before even playing it. I'm not saying you should go out and buy every game ever made but don't write them all off as terrible just because you're not 100% sure it's worth a purchase. I know you don't own a PS3, but honestly... You have a perfectly good spoiled Scottish friend living down the street with all the titles you could ever imagine. Go play them before deciding that they're total crap. LBP is fun and well executed and my opinion. It's not like I'm going to go out and get a PS3 for it but to say that it's not unique is ignoring quite a bit of the credit it deserves.

Speaking of platformers, I just played the Braid demo. Is it just me or are some of the puzzle pieces straight up impossible to get? Do I need to get the full game in order to be able to use time in extra tricky ways or am I just not seeing something?

Nope, you just need to go and think about it some more. If you have trouble in the demo you haven't seen anything yet.

Ok.. I'll go and think about it and if that doesn't work I'll turn to youtube. It's a cool game though. I'm kinda tempted to ask for it for Christmas.

As for the total crap you know that was just me exaggerating, my point is that you often think you know how good a game is before you play it and then take that to be the truth rather than mere speculation. Or that's the way it seems.

I feel Metal Gear has fine gameplay but the story is just too exclusive for me to care about. By exclusive I mean you have to be a fan to fully appreciate it. If it did come out for 360 I would probably end up buying it if it was a new direction for the series but if it was Metal Gear:Big Boss solidus octagon octopus ocelot 4.56 on the 360, I would have second thoughts.

I was thinking the same thing. I almost wish MGS would come out on the 360. I'd buy it even though I despised the second one on PS2, but it would allow me to rub it in those snooty PS fanboy faces, and I'd see a new side to the game. Oh well. I have a feeling that MGS would make a crap-ton more money on 360 than on iPhone. It's sort of their loss.

Pft, didn't you hear? MGS can never ever be on 360 because perfectly fine normal DVDs don't fit needlessly uncompressed bloated Blu-Ray propaganda gamedata on them. And then there's the matter of the game being so graphically superior to anything ever seen before so you totally need a 9-core Cell chip to run it. Yep.

... but I imagine when Konami break free from Sony's strangehold it'll magically become possible.

It's a real shame too, because Konami could of made a killing putting that title on the 360.
