Let me chime in with my unwanted advice - Please don't buy World at War, it makes me feel bad when people buy poor games because I'm usually the first to play newest releases and it's my responsibility to steer you fellows away from such fail. It's like I've failed as a parent or something

- I'll probably be getting a new monitor to replace this venerable old 19" CRT. Make & model pending, though probably LCD because as much as I hate the things I need to save space.
- I may consider getting a new hard drive because the two I have now are so old that vacuum has broken on them and subsequently they sound like they're trying to escape the drive bay with angle grinders. Also 74GB doesn't cut it any more.
- Poor so can't afford much else.

You buy your own christmas presents? Thats sad

Well I pretty much just get given cash beforehand from my family, so technically I guess I do buy my own presents for the most part unless it's something small like a DVD. It's quite strange.

My family's money situation is goofy right now so I don't think I'll be getting anything for Christmas. I'll be going to spend time with my Dutch grandparents, and skiing in Austria though... So that's pretty sweet.

I would say a holiday in austria/netherlands qualifies as a present. But then I don't get out enough.

Not to sound patronizing, but Christmas isn't all about gifts. As much as I myself love to get presents (who doesn't?), through my own experiences I've come to appreciate what I do have (friends and family) during the holidays, instead of what material objects I want. I made a list of things I'd like, but if I only get a few things, or nothing at all, I'm not going to lose sleep over it. So while you may not be getting things you want for Christmas, at least you'll be with family in Holland and ski in Austria.

Yeah, not to be too cheesy but hosting the rest of my family, grumpy old racist Indians included, is always the best part of my Christmas.
Revan, iPod Touch in Romania must be worth a pretty penny.

The thing with the touches is that they look even more fragile than the paper-light nanos.

My parents are pretty old fashioned when it comes to christmas and presents. Its like the tradition has changed a lot over the years.
Gone from being a near "holy" tradition, where people would exchange little symbolic gifts, to being a tradition for the materialist consumer.
Before, the best you could do was make a wishlist and hope someone decided to buy one of the things included on it.
Now people are pretty much ordering what they want and have their parents pay for it. Some even get the money to go by their own presents.
Basically turning it into an annual "Name an object that cost 50 pounds, and we will buy it, wrap it up in paper, and place it under the tree for you" eve.
Takes away some of the magic and excitement doesnt it?
Do you guys even bother with the wrapping paper? That would be pretty pointless.
Anyways, my wish list, lets see....
New cell phone would be nice.
Thats about it. Im looking forward to this years christmas and new years, because I get to go home and celebrate with my family.
Last year I wasnt able to because I had to work.

I haven't even bothered coming up with a list, simply because doing so encourages greed on my part, but the main thing i need is some money for a new processor. And i need some new clothes, but other then that I'm good until i get a job next summer.

I don't know what i want really.
I'm at the point where i don't care.
I do want a new weight bench..seeing as my old one broke.
Maybe a few games or something, or just a new camera. SLR.
As i said, i don't really care that much.

New headphones and a few games I guess. Not sure which, because everything coming out right now is disappointing. If I change my mind about those then just a new phone.
And yes, the best part of Christmas is always the family dinner. Food + laughing = funz and almost choking to death. Good times.

My family is pretty small so it's not that interesting at all for me. In fact, most of the people who come to christmas dinner came every sunday for dinner since i was like 4 anyway.

Ew, I wouldn't want to celebrate Christmas in that sense either... I was just talking about appreciating what you do have... in a secular way. I'd rather celebrate Christmas in the communist fashion.

Last year when I had a Christmas dinner with my family(Including grandparents and shit, equals around 20 or so people), my grandparents were drunk from wine and they told a story how like 8 years back they were going to by some weed to relax and shit (They would've been 70 or so at the time) and they got the dealer to drive them to their house since he was a nice guy. They got home and turned on the TV and there was a news report on a drug bust, busting out the place of that same guy where they bought the weed like 20 minutes after they had been there.
My entire family was lol'ing.
(No, my family is not messed up, and that was the only time they ever did that.)
Yeah, just thought I'd tell you guise.

Yeah, but I've explained it before..Romania, actually, doesn't suck balls. The people who live here and the people that rule this country make it likewise. Like some rap singer from around here says "Too many politicians for a country so small. You think too less to say so many things". There's no BIG lapse of money. Romania is far from poor. The only thing that people around here don't have, is SPIRIT. Spirit of anything. Bullshit people. Anyway, ty, but Christmas doesn't mean anything to me ;p. Maybe just another way of getting things I want..

This Christmas is gonna suck balls for me, useually we have the whole family round, cousins, aunties, uncles, everyone infact there was some talk of my other cousins coming back from America to spend chrismas here. But no, its just gonna be my family with our Grandparents, who i see every other week anyway.
Presents dont matter too much to me, maybe Far Cry 2 or something would be good.
