I went to download it a day ago, realized I couldn't with my gold account because MS are niggers and won't let me change my account settings, went to download it with my silver account, and then it tells me it's a Gold member exclusive.

It's not a simulation, it's an arcade flight shooter lice ace combat.

Its more arcade like asian said, Ace combat did feel more like a Sim then this. But don't let that stop you from trying this.
Like endwar there are voice commands in this, not sure what they cause i played the first time while it was off.
the views and controls aren't too bad as well, and the assistance mode is a great way to dogfight other jets and
to evade them and try to take them out. I can't really say more then that, you will have to d/l and try for yourself.
tis a fun game tho and worth a try!

but srsly what is wrong with flight combat games these days? ,I haven't seen a good one in years ,the last one worth mentioning was" lock on " and it's controls were rubbish ,made it very hard to control the plane on keyboard ,and for some notorious reason the su37 never liked me ,kept making this warning beep and like 1 minute later it would stall and crash on some mountain.

well hawx is out, anyone else planning on getting it? Elanzer and i played some co-op and it is fun.
have yet to try the multi player but it should be good as well. there are lots of jets to unlock and weapon
upgrade to unlock as well.

Rented it for a week, if I'm honest it could've been better, but that's not to say it's bad. My main problems are there's a few too many planes, and that although they have different stats and special attributes there's not quite a big enough difference between them. For example you'd expect an A-10 to handle like a beast but ingame it can dogfight (albeit not too well) if needed :/

Saying that though, the lack of big difference allows people to just fly the planes they like and allow diversity without major disadvantage I guess, and once you get your favourite plane, start unlocking various missile types for it, learning the best tactics... it's quite fun just slaughtering hordes of enemies in epic dogfights.

Like SF said played some brief coop and it made it a lot more fun knowing you've got a buddy, it turns from being "oh shit I need to protect this and there's 2 waves from opposite directions FFFFFFFFF" to "oh you're going left? I'll go right. YYYEAAAAHHHHH TOP GUUUNNNNNN". I can only imagine how fun it'd be with 4 people. Do want some more next time SF is online.

someone else to cover your ass and help out makes a world of a difference. well is should be online after work sometime around 5 pm -8gmt

i bought it, i have been waiting for a flying game to play and enjoy and for me i am glad i bought it.

And thusly I am torn.

I might. Then again, I'm not sure I really want any new games. I might as well just save. I'm most likely going to borrow L4D from a friend and whore a few achievements off of it as a console title, I'm getting EndWar and I'm getting FEAR 2. I don't really know if I want anything else. If I save I'll have more spending money when it comes time for a class trip after graduation, and/or I'll be able to buy a few of those IP's like Singularity and Dark Void. Unless there's something that I really need to add to my collection, I think I'm going to save.

I had fun with LEGO Star Wars. FEAR 2 might be worse than HAWX but as Tut said, I've already ordered it and I should be getting it today. There's no turning back for me now and I'm still feeling more attracted to FEAR 2 than HAWX.

yea we did, i did 9 and 10 in coop and got those achievements, i read somewhere that this game has been known to be jewish that way.

arg played that level 3 times in a row and still no achievement. well i finished it on hard guess i'll just go through it on
elite and see if it unlocks when i get to it.

I'm surprised you went through on hard instead of elite seeming elite unlocks everything below automatically anyway.

Elite is easy, 2 missiles knock you out but on coop you can respawn anyway :/
