Ok thanx for taking the time to pop in here anyway i will get right to the point

changing the weapon skinz about, well ok am having problems No1 some of the files are compleatly diffrent to what they are named in the download file but thats ok...
its when i goto change the txt in the vtf or vtm file with wordpad it wont let me save it says access restricted and i am on the admin login on my p.c so wtf is that about if i wanna make changes to a file i should be able to ??

leave the files alone. Just install them too the proper area..

and you can't open them because there not text files.

The .vmt is a text file and requires editing with some skins with variations.

If your OS isn't let you edit them it must be because whoever owns the PC doesn't trust you with a proper administrator account. If you were on one like you say there's no reason I can think of why it would say access restricted.

It's ok lads i have it sorted now. i just had to goto properties in the file and open up the restrictions on the file TYPE i was trying to edit, so it's all good. Anyway i have also sussed out that all i need to do with MOST NOT ALL weapon / skins is simply drop them into the CS folder and click yes to replace them however this does not work all the time, i think this mabie down to the way the file was created and mabie the creator of variouse skinz did not make the locations too specific lol...

Anyway i am looking for some skinz for ALL my weapons BUT only to make them look just as the originals do but with more texture and a realistic edge can anyone recommend any good skinz?? I DONT WANT WEAPON SKINZ THAT DONT LOOK LIKE THE ORIGINALS I JUST WANT MORE DETAILED LOOKING ORIGINAL [[IF THAT MAKES ANY SENSE PLEASE LEAVE LINKS HERE FOR ME PLEASE]] ;P
