Mind you, this is the first thing I have ever modeled, so it's not the best, and may have some imperfections.

I basically downloaded the free version of XSI Mod Tool and made my own variant of the HK1911

Now if you look down into the ejector port where the chamber is, you'll notice that it's not completed on the inside of the gun. I'm not sure if most people leave that alone or what, but I wanted to make a more or less complete gun so that if you were to do an animation where the character does a systems check on the gun, you could look right down into the chamber and see a bullet there.

I also have done a bit with this model since I took those screen shots, I straightened a few lines here and there, made the magazine and 2 bullets for the gun as well.

Let me know what you think!

that is pretty nice for your first model.

damn, that's actually really good for your first.

I'm no expert but that is indeed a very nice first attempt.

Thanks guys :3

I'll try to post some new screens of it soon. Maybe some of the innards (god they don't look anywhere near as nice as the rest of the gun).

If all else fails, then I can always delete the two little bullets I made and just try to clean up the chamber area... save a few hundred triangles at least.

It's unfortunate, but CSDL is no longer a hub for modelers and skinners the way it once was. We can admire your work but we can't really help you very much.

That being said, it's very nice.. especially for your first work. send me a download link when it's done and I'll give it a public test run if I may smile.gif.
